Protection for Android phones

We keep our banking app, photos of documents and logins to everything on our phones. Android protection is included in the same Kaspersky licence you use on your computer – there is no need to buy it separately.

What it protects against on a phone

Threats to a phone differ from those to a computer: here the bigger risk is not viruses but links in messages and apps from untrusted sources.

  • Scam links in messages and apps. The links you open are checked – not just in the browser.
  • Malicious apps. Newly installed apps are scanned automatically.
  • Payments and banking. You are warned if threats are found on the device that could reach your banking app.
  • Spyware. The phone is also checked separately for stalkerware installed without your knowledge.
  • Unlimited VPN on public Wi-Fi. On café or airport networks, your connection is encrypted (“Plus” and “Premium”).

System requirements

Androidversions 11–16.
The same licenceAlso works on Windows, macOS and iOS devices.

An internet connection and a My Kaspersky account are required. The app interface is also available in Lithuanian.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate licence for my phone? No. When buying, you choose how many devices the licence will protect, and you can mix them: for example, one computer and two phones.
How is it different from free antivirus apps on Google Play?Free versions usually only scan installed apps and are funded by advertising. Here the key part is real-time link and scam checking, plus a VPN.
Will the app drain the battery quickly? In everyday use, the difference is small. A full scan uses the most power, and you can run it while the phone is charging.
Does it work on a child's phone too?Protection – yes. If you also need parental control, screen time and location tracking, the product for that is Kaspersky Safe Kids.
