Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection – an encrypted internet connection, so that on public Wi-Fi nobody can see what you send or which websites you visit. It switches on with a single button, runs in the background and requires no knowledge of networks.
Who needs it
Wi-Fi networks at airports, cafés, hotels and shopping centres are open to everyone connected to them. Without encryption, a stranger on the same network can see your traffic, and websites and apps see your real IP address and approximate location.
Main features
- Encrypted connection using the modern WireGuard protocol – fast and suitable for video.
- More than 6,000 servers in more than 120 locations – you can choose a country or let the app pick the fastest one.
- Kill Switch – if the VPN connection drops unexpectedly, internet traffic is stopped so that data does not leak over an unprotected channel.
- Split Tunneling – you can specify which apps go through the VPN and which connect directly (handy for banking apps).
- Works everywhere: Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.
- Up to 10 devices at the same time with a single licence.
What a VPN does and does not do
A VPN hides your traffic and IP address but does not protect against viruses or phishing e-mails. If you need both, the VPN is already included in Kaspersky Plus and Kaspersky Premium bundles – often this works out cheaper than buying separately.
Licence and delivery
You receive the activation code by e-mail within 1–2 minutes of payment. The code can be activated in EU and EEA countries, Switzerland and Monaco.
System requirements
An internet connection and a My Kaspersky account are required. The connection is encrypted with the WireGuard protocol – your internet provider’s network must allow it.
How to activate your licence
- Get your activation code – we send it by e-mail within 1–2 minutes of payment.
- Install Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection – out of downloads page, Google Play or the App Store.
- Sign in to My Kaspersky – or create an account to which all your licences will be linked.
- Enter the code – in the app, choose activation with a code and enter the key you received.
