Licence management for organisations
When a company has several licences with different expiry dates and several people buying them, the most common problem is not the price but keeping things in order. We can take this part off your hands.
What we do for you
We keep track of expiry datesWe know when each of your licences expires and notify you in advance – not on the day your protection has already stopped working.
We align them to a single periodIf licences were bought at different times, they can be aligned so that they expire together in future. One renewal a year instead of four.
We add workstationsTaken on new employees? Extra seats can be added without waiting for the current period to end.
We handle the paperworkA VAT invoice for every order, payment by bank transfer or against a pro forma invoice. Everything your accounts department needs in a single e-mail.
A single contact person
No need to explain the situation from scratch every time. We know what you have, when you bought it and who in your company is responsible for it.
- Licence question – one phone number and one e-mail address.
- Need a quote? We prepare it on the same business day.
- Need to try before you buy? We will arrange it trial version.
- The person responsible changes – we hand all the information over to the new one.
Why keeping your licences in order matters at all
It looks like an accounting detail – until one of three typical situations occurs.
- The licence expired and nobody noticed. The program stays installed and the window looks normal, but the threat databases are no longer updated. The company thinks it is protected, but in fact it fails to recognise precisely the newest threats – the ones that are the most dangerous.
- There are more workstations than licences. New employees have joined, computers have been handed out, and there are no protection seats left. The newcomers' computers are left with nothing – and they are often the ones that get the first phishing e-mail.
- The person who knew everything has left. The codes were in his mailbox and the dates were in his head. For a new employee, everything starts from scratch.
None of these three situations is solved by technology – they are solved by someone keeping records and sending reminders on time.
What is worth having on your side
- One responsible person and a deputy – so that the information does not sit in a single mailbox.
- A shared company e-mail address for licences, not an employee's personal one.
- A simple list: product, number of workstations, expiry date. A single table is enough.
- An agreement on when the renewal decision is made – ideally a month before expiry, while there is still time to compare calmly.
Frequently asked questions
Does it cost extra? No. It is a normal part of an official distributor's work, not a separate service.
We have licences that were not bought from you. Can you take them over into your records?Yes. Tell us what you have and when it expires – we will add it to the overall picture and remind you in good time.
How do you notify me that expiry is approaching?By e-mail, early enough for you to agree the budget and pay the invoice without rushing.
Can we move to a higher protection tier without changing the whole deployment?Kaspersky Next tiers are built on the same platform, so you can switch. Before that, we will compare whether it is really worth it – see tier table.
