How it differs from other Kaspersky Next tiers
- EDR Foundations – the foundation: protection, visibility and incident root cause analysis.
- EDR Optimum – in addition, genuine EDR capabilities (detection, investigation and one-click response), cloud protection, application and device control, and patch management.
- XDR Optimum – the big picture beyond workstations: correlated alerts, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Cloud Sandbox.
- MXDR Optimum – the same tools, except that Kaspersky experts monitor, hunt threats and investigate around the clock.
- XDR Expert – a full-featured XDR platform with event correlation across workstations, network, e-mail and cloud, playbooks and threat hunting.
If your company has fewer than 25 devices and no dedicated IT person, you will probably be fine with Kaspersky Small Office Security.
